This work is about the tradition of the Quinceañeras. When a girl turns fifteen her birthday is celebrated as the moment of going from being a child to being a woman. It is a tradition of coming of age. 

The photographer, as an anthropologist and image maker got fascinated by this concept and especially the role that photography plays in this tradition. How the medium is used as a way of confirming femininity and how a woman should be portrayed.
