Sarah van Wingerden (1993) is a photographer who tries to understand her subjects by moving closer. She is interested in humans and how humans live together. She tries to make sense of the world through a personal approach which aims at softness and nuance. Central to her work are topics of human connectedness. She studied photography in Antwerp at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Before getting into the arts she studied Social Work and Anthropology and has worked in the social field for some years.​​​​​​​
